Local Food Magazine

Assignment:

You will create a 12-page magazine for the brand Drink & Dish Local. The magazine is designed to be printed. The magazine will consist of a cover, table of contents, 4 articles, and a back cover ad. Each article should be treated as a different design but the magazine should be cohesive and look like a single unit.

This is an exercise in creativity and technical typography. Pay attention to creating nice creative headlines.

Design Brief Requirements

• Number of pages (including covers) – 12
• Page Size: 5.5×8.5″
• Resolution: 300 dpi
• Color mode: CMYK
• Margin: 1/4″ (Minimum)
• Bleed: Standard 1/8″
• Designed in Adobe InDesign with assets created in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Use Column Grids to set up pages
• Use Paragraph Styles
• Use Character Styles
• Use Page Numbers – Start numbering on page 2
• Individual Article Should have text that flows from one text box to another
• Use Master Pages
• Well Designed Magazine with Cohesive look
