Package Design Project

Objective:

Using the supplied template you are going to design your own packaging for a coffee filter. We purposely chose an object that is not very exciting. Your job is to make it stand out on the shelf and have it appeal to consumers. You will continue to use you typographic skills ( Type Size, Leading, Spacing, Etc.) to design all sides of the package.

Text has been provided for you as well as photos of the original package and another brand of coffee filters.

  • You must use all the text provided, unless you get you text approved by the professor. (Text will need to be of equal length and format of text.)
  • You can change the Brand Name, if you do so you will be required to come up with a new logo (It can be a word Mark Logo)
  • If you create your own brand, your name and logo must be approved first
  • You can create your own Logo for the Malitta brand
  • Create your own package
    • If you want to create your own brand and package completely, I will allow it, but I must approve our idea before you start.
    • You must use a similar amount of text as I have provided for the Coffee Filter

Document

Create your InDesign document 17″ x 14″ and place your Adobe Illustrator document on the page as a template.
